Gold Pagoda of Burhan Nizam Shah II of Ahmadnagar Sultanate

The Nizam Shahi of Ahmadnagar Sultanate was one of the five successor states of the Bahamani Sultanate in the Deccan.Burhan Nizam Shah II ruled the Bahamani Sultanate from 1591 CE to 1595 CE(AH 1000-1003). During his reign, he shifted his mint from Ahmadnagar to Burhanabad.
Burhan Nizam Shah II issued this Gold Pagoda weighing 3.39g minted at Burhanabad. The obverse features the inscription Shi'a Shahada- La Ilaha Illallah Muhammadur Rasulullah Ali Waliullah, and the reverse is inscribed with Darb Burhanabad.
