James Madison was the founding father and fourth president of the United States of America. He serves the United States of America; as a President between 1809 and 1817. James Madison is hailed, as "Father of the Constitution" for his pivotal role in drafting and promoting the Constitution of the United States and the United States Bill of Rights.

Madison and Thomas Jefferson founded the Democratic-Republican Party, which was America’s first opposition political party. When Jefferson was the third president of the United States of America, James Medison serves the United States of America as secretary of State. When James Madison became the president of the U.S.A he had led the controversial war against Great Britain in the year 1812-1815.

This commemorative stamp was issued by the United States of America in the year 1986 to commemorate him and his work.
