Today Timur Defeated the Tughlaq dynasty

Timur was the founder of the founder and the first ruler of the Timurid Dynasty. In 1398 CE, he invaded Northern India to attack Delhi Sultanate ruled by Nasir-ud-Din Mahmud Shah Tughluq of the Tughlaq dynasty. While marching towards he was opposed by Jats; who loot caravans and then disappear in the forests. But, Timur successfully defeated the attack of Jats and never stops his march towards Delhi.The war between Timur and Nasir-ud-Din Mahmud Shah Tughluq took place on 17th December 1389. Timur successfully defeated the army of Nasir-ud-Din Mahmud Shah Tughluq and Delhi was captured by the army of Timur. The capture of Delhi was one of the greatest victories of Timur, as Delhi was one of the richest cities in the world.
This gold mintless, Badakhshan type, 1/24 Mohur or 1/8 Ashrafi was issued by Timur Shah. The obverse of this coin is inscribed as ‘Sultan Sulayman Badshah Ghazi, Khallada Allah Ta’ala. The reverse of this coin is inscribed with the Kalima.
